Delicious Hasselback Potatoes

A beautiful twist on classic baked potatoes.

  • 4 potatoes medium, with skin on
  • 4 Tbsp olive oil can sub with butter
  • salt and peppper to taste


  • Preheat the oven to 250 degrees C (about 475 F) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  • Brush the foil lightly with oil and set aside.
  • Wash the potatoes thoroughly and then use a clean and dry cloth to dry it as much possible.
  • Using a sharp knife, make very close cuts until 2/3 of the potatoes starting from the top. Make sure not to cut them all the way through!
  • Repeat the process with the rest of the potatoes.
  • Place the slit potatoes onto the prepared baking sheet and then generously brush them with oil.
  • Season with salt and pepper, or other spices.
  • Roast the potatoes for 45 minutes or more, until the potatoes turn fork-tender.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
