Whether she’s helping her clients develop and market their brands or playing with her kids, our Classic Chic Mom on the Street Becky Vasquez has great style! Read on for more!
As a Mother of 3, and military wife, I know what it feels like to have a full plate with the burning desires to do what you were uniquely created for!
Native to the Virginia Beach area, I grew up loving multiple forms of art. From an early age, I could not keep my eyes off of logos, colors, and the vast field of communication arts. Yes, I was one of those kids who flipped through magazines, hand-drawing logos and looking at font styles!
I’ve been able to channel that interest into my career today. Through my company RevCreative, I help my clients to develop their ideas into a cohesive visual identity. I find the greatest joy in helping others figure out what their passions are, and then guiding them through the process of materializing their dreams into reality!
Classic Chic Style
Which three words best describe your style? Hmmm… This is a hard one. I don’t consider myself a person of fashion. I kind of know what I like when I see it, feel and try it on. My number one rule is always comfort… so I would say… Casual Classic Chic
What are your favorite places to shop? In this season of my life shopping is more like… “Oh hun, we need more diapers, or we are out of milk!” But when I have a moment I love me some Old Navy, H&M, Francesca’s, and any local boutique!
Who’s your favorite style icon? I love any look that is effortless, naturally beautiful and comfy. I love Rachel Hollis and her everyday wear. Mary Kaufman of Bluebirds Garage always looks amazing and totally original and I have to say, the ladies at Fabre in Virginia Beach… geesh I follow their feed and I want every outfit 🙂
What’s your best style advice? Stay true to you. Dress in a way that brings out the best in you. Be original and uniquely you!
More Classic Chic Style
What article of clothing/accessory would you not want to live without? Jeans!!! Even though it’s a bother to find the right fit, I LOVE me some jeans! You can dress them up or wear them down.
Which trend would you want to see make a comeback? Ahhh!!! 1960s dresses, specifically Audrey Hepburn! Just so flattering, simple, classic!
What should NEVER make a comeback? Though I am an 80s baby and a 90s kid… y’all… I cannot take the hammer pants, scrunchies, and the bodysuits… LOL!
What fashion/style did you love at the time, but now cringe when you see old photos? Oh, Ladies…!!! I LOVED the High, Teased Bangs! My sister and I would try and get them to the sky (I am so giggling right now) BUT seriously, the higher the better!
What’s your best style secret? For me, I love a good foundation with a little bronzer and highlight… and definitely mascara! Never leave the house without it 🙂
Stilettos or flats? FLATS all day, even though I am short! And my sister is probably rolling her eyes reading this right now. LOL
Classic Chic Family
What’s your favorite way to spend time with your family? I love getting outside with my kiddos and hubby. So, whether at the beach, the park, on a hike… I love being outside enjoying the sunlight, freedom,
What’s been your best family vacation? We went to Disney last year and loved going to Animal Kingdom with the kiddos. That day just seemed perfect, we soaked up all the joy and excitement and really marinated in the experience together, just the 5 of us 🙂
Best parenting advice: I truly believe every child is uniquely and beautifully created. As a parent, we are learning as we go. Every child responds differently in each situation. So, I guess just knowing that and not judging or jumping to conclusions, but giving each child the love, attention, and discipline to guide them into the person they will become… geesh that sounds really hard just writing that LOL! (PS… still trying to figure it out myself!
Parenting true confession: So, I have… (palms are sweating) locked one of my kiddos in the car before! (deep breath) SO all you moms, dads and caretakers out there… it does happen! Remain calm, get help asap and NEVER do it again! LOL (Ugh… it’s just the worst feeling ever!)
What’s your go-to family dinner? “Babylove, what’s for dinner?!” (
What’s your favorite family restaurant? Don’s Cafe! We eat at home most of the time. The kiddos have recently taken a huge liking to this place called TakoSushi and whenever we travel… Where’s the Panda Express?!
Casual Chic Life
What’s your favorite show to binge watch? Poldark!!! Anything on Masterpiece!!
What’s your favorite beach read? Do people really read on the beach? My 3 kids are everywhere, this lady don’t got time for that 🙂
What’s the best song to dance to when nobody’s watching? I mean it depends what mood you’re in, right?! Billie Jean, Uptown Funk, Single Ladies, I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Baby Got Back…,
If you could go shopping with anyone from history, living or deceased, who would it be? Just a group of my girlfriends! I love just hanging out, talking and finding new inspiration with the people that know you the most. (sorry that may be boring, just true)
What’s at the top of your travel bucket list? I really want to see Savannah, Charleston,
What’s your favorite way to unwind at the end of a long day? I LOVE LOVE having an amazing home cooked meal with my hubby, a glass of wine, maybe, and snuggling up on the couch!
Your Classic Chic Style
We love how Becky’s classic chic style is always well-curated but isn’t too fussy. She has a great sense of colors and textures but doesn’t get carried away with too many accessories and busyness. She also has a great sense of the colors that work well on her and dresses accordingly.
And as gorgeous and fun as her classic chic style is, we also love the way that Becky has channeled her sense of style and design into helping her clients develop their ideal brand identities and goals. Be sure to check out RevCreative and follow her on Instagram!
