Meet Monique

Hi! My name is Monique, I’m a lifestyle/mommy blogger and influencer located in Florida. 8 years ago, I married the man of my dreams and God has blessed us with two amazing boys. Josiah is 5 years old and Jasiel is 2 years old. I am also the owner of Mom Life and Monique.  Sometimes women get overwhelmed when they become mothers and my goal is to help each mother know that they got this. I continue to remind them that life does not end when they become a mother. My blog focuses on tips and tricks for mothers to help their motherhood to be as simple as possible. Uplifting and empowering mothers is something I love because let’s be honest…motherhood isn’t easy. Social media has helped me to help others and it means so much to me. That’s why I have to continue because there is always a mother that needs some encouragement and a reminder of how awesome they are.

Bold Uplifting Style

Which three words best describe your style? Simple, comfortable, and classic

What are your favorite places to shop? Amazon and Fashion Nova

Who’s your favorite style icon? Keke Palmer

What’s your best style advice? Always shop smart and don’t be afraid to re-wear outfits.

Which trend would you want to see make a comeback? Steve Madden slip-ons. I miss mine and everyone I knew had a pair.

What trend should NEVER make a comeback? Zebra prints, including bedsheets, leggings, and accessories.  It doesn’t look cute, but that’s just my opinion.

What fashion/style did you love at the time, but now cringe when you see old photos? High-waisted mom jeans.

Stilettos, flats, or sneakers? Stilettos, but I like to wear sneakers sometimes.

Bold Uplifting Family

What’s your favorite way to spend time with your family? At home relaxing and watching Netflix. What’s been your best family vacation? The time we visited Disney and SeaWorld.

Best parenting advice: Trust your own instincts.

Parenting true confession: I sometimes hide from my kids. My two favorite places to hide are in the bathroom and under my bed.

What’s your go-to family dinner? Pizza, it’s ready in 15 minutes and my picky children LOVE IT!

What’s your favorite family restaurant? Chili's Grill & Bar. They always have good deals and sometimes offer free kids meals. I’m a mama on a budget and Chili's never let me down.

Bold Uplifting Lifestyle

What’s your favorite show to binge-watch? The Flash on Netflix

If you could pick anyone to star as you in a movie based on your life, who would it be? Taraji P Henson because she’s a great actor. She makes a lot of people want to watch her. She’s inspiring and plays every role very well.

If you had to listen to only one artist/group for the rest of your life, who would it be? Tasha Cobbs. I’m a Christian and I’ve listened to some Christian songs that have made me feel sad. Tasha’s music is uplifting and reminds me to continue to be the woman that God wants me to be.

What’s your favorite beach read? I don’t have one. My beach days are spent chasing after my kids who aren't swimming experts. My beach days are my workout days.

What song would you dance to when nobody’s watching? JoJo Siwa- Boomerang (Please, don’t tell my toddler. He loves Jojo)

What movie can you watch over and over again? Wakanda

If you could have lunch with anyone from history, living or deceased, who would it be? My Uncle Phil & Uncle Audley. They are both deceased and I never once told them I loved them. It would be nice to have lunch with them and to tell them how much I love them.

What’s at the top of your travel bucket list? Bora Bora! That place is beautiful!

What’s your favorite way to unwind at the end of a long day? To watch TV while enjoying a glass of wine.
