Jet Set Bohemian Style

Which 3 words best describe your style? I toggle between jet set couture, bohemian hip soccer mom, and tailored corporate executive.

What are your favorite places to shop?Internationally, online, Amazon and Ebay.

Who's your favorite style icon? Edie Sedgwick

What's your best style advice? Do not go by trends, but rather focus on what fits you, makes you look and feel gorgeous and compliments your unique figure. If you want to update your look with the latest trends, stick to accessories like fun jewelry, scarves, sunglasses, and shoes, but your main wardrobe basics should last you decades and be high quality because quality lasts and trends change.

What article of clothing/accessory would you not want to live without? My statement necklaces. I love Queen Bee jewelry designed by Allison Priebe in Alexandria, VA because I can opt to wear her beautiful pieces for a corporate meeting or out on the town. Statement jewelry can make a standard black dress look like Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Which trend would you want to see make a comeback? I absolutely love 1940s cocktail dresses for any decade because it compliments a woman's figure, looks classy and yet has a feminine playful appeal and can give contemporary women a bit of Hollywood glamour.

What should NEVER make a comeback? Parachute pants.

What fashion/style did you love at the time, but now cringe when you look at old photos? My hippy style flower print baby doll dress and the leather choker I decided to wear with it makes me cringe. It was the early 90s and I had overplucked eyebrows.

What's your best style secret? My secret weapon is eye brow gel and statement jewelry.

Stilettos or flats? Stilettos!

Jet Set Bohemian Family

What's your favorite way to spend time with your family? We love family dinners where we often eat by candlelight making it fancy for the kids.

What's been your best family vacation? Definitely, Belize where my kids got to swim with a pod of wild dolphins in the Blue Hole. It was a total surprise and absolutely magical to see dolphins in their element- free and playing.

Best parenting advice: Evolve with your children – they're only yours to mentor and not to keep or mold into you. Savor them while you have them. It's brief.

Parenting true confession:  I told my kids that Santa stops coming the moment they stop believing and definitely does not give gifts after 12 because then you're not a kid anymore.

What's your go-to family dinner? Baked salmon with dill and lemon sauce and steamed broccoli on the side. Super easy and super quick!

What's your family favorite restaurant? We love going to Faccia Luna in Old Town Alexandria because they have gluten-free pizza for my eldest and awesome salads for me!

Jet Set Bohemian Life

What's your favorite show to binge watch? I don't have TV so I watch live stream IPSY make up tutorials on Facebook on my phone. This is definitely my guilty pleasure.

What's your favorite beach read? I love reading magazines like Real Simple at the beach.

What's the best song to dance to when nobody's watching? Old Britney Spears songs- they're so upbeat!

If you could go shopping with anyone from history, living or deceased, who would it be? Edie Sedgwick- she epitomized bohemian glam high society.

What's at the top of your travel bucket list? Mongolia. It seems like the off the beaten path last frontier! It would be such an adventure for the kids- staying in a Yurt and seeing all these vast fields!

What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of a long day? I love to drink hot herbal tea and read health books.
