Meet Chantelle
Chantelle is a supermom of two beautiful girls, ages 7 and 1. She has been happily married to her best friend Phil for 9 years. Together they all lovingly care for their cute Syrian Hamster, Cookie! She’s passionate about mentoring young women and girls and loves to support and help other moms. She also loves Jesus and has been a part of the local church, volunteering and attending for 9 years. Her hidden talent: she specializes in bridal hair and is a freelance cosmetologist. She finds value in helping people in any way she can. She believes that by serving others and showing each other love and grace, we can slowly but surely change the world.

Which three words best describe your style? Casual, comfortable, and cute lol!
What are your favorite places to shop? My favorite places to shop are definitely H&M, Cotton On & Target.
Who’s your favorite style icon? I don’t have just one favorite style icon but lately, I have been really inspired by Hijab Style Fashion. It’s modest but also chic and stylish.
What’s your best style advice? I believe 100% that you can be comfortable and stylish. You don’t always have to suffer to look good! There are so many options out there, things you can use to accessorize. Things always work! Don’t be afraid to get creative. We are fortunate enough to live in a time where people aren’t really judged by what they wear anymore.
What article of clothing/accessory would you not want to live without? I love big knitted sweaters and cardigans. They can definitely change the look of an outfit. But I also love earrings, specifically studded earrings!
Which trend would you want to see make a comeback? I love the 1950s style of fashion. It was form-fitting, modest but also chic.
What should NEVER make a comeback? Oversized pants or bell bottoms. *cringe*
What fashion/style did you love at the time, but now cringe when you see old photos? I used to wear dresses or skirts with street sneakers (Jordan’s, Nike Airforces, etc). Worst fashion decision EVER!
What’s your best style secret? Make sure your eyebrows are clean and your hair is styled nicely. You can get away with not wearing makeup but still look put together if you follow those two rules.
Stilettos or flats? It depends. Parties, events, date nights = stilettos. BBQs, play dates, summertime activities = flats.

What’s your favorite way to spend time with your family? My favorite way to spend time with my family is anywhere outside of our home (a park, a field, a yard, amusement park, etc) without our phones giving each other undivided attention.
What’s been your best family vacation? A few months ago we were gifted an all-inclusive stay at Great Wolf Lodge by one of my husband’s close friends. It was the first time my husband, myself and our oldest went on a formal vacation. It was such a great time because it was the first time I had gone away since giving birth to my second child and we focused on spending time with our oldest. She got our 100% attention (our little one was with her grandparents). And we got to fill up our older daughter’s cup. She still speaks of this vacation to this day.

Parenting true confession: My husband and I wait until the girls are asleep to order a pizza and binge-watch Netflix lol.
What’s your go-to family dinner? Pizza! Our family absolutely loves pizza. It’s simple but so delicious! Not the healthiest but it is one of our ultimate comfort foods!
What’s your favorite family restaurant? There is a cute family diner a few minutes from our home that our oldest daughter loves! We make it a tradition to visit during a major holiday every year. (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve or New Years Day.)

What’s your favorite binge-watch watch? Currently, Friends!
If you could pick anyone to star as you in a movie based on your life, who would it be? Jessica Alba! Although she doesn’t really act anymore, she is super sweet and quirky. Her personality is really similar to mine.
What’s your favorite beach read? Honestly, I can’t say that I have one.
What’s the best song to dance to when nobody’s watching? I am Hispanic, so I love anything in the salsa and merengue genre. A really good one is called “Aguanile” by Marc Anthony. If you’re at a party and the DJ plays that song, EVERYONE is getting up to dance!
If you could go shopping with anyone from history, living or deceased, who would it be? I would definitely go shopping with Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe. I loved their classy, simple, stylish looks.
What’s at the top of your travel bucket list? Dubai and Bora Bora.
What’s your favorite way to unwind at the end of a long day? My favorite way to unwind at the end of the day is to sit on my couch next to my husband and just talk about our days, share our thoughts, feelings, etc. He works in the retail industry so when he comes home he likes to share some experiences he had throughout the day. I’m fortunate to be able to stay home with my little one and I love sharing with my husband the different milestones she hits.
