Whether she’s showing a home, or spending time with her extended family, Colorful Classic Boss Mom on the Street, knows she’s living the life she loves.
Hi, there! My name is Lauren and I am a Real Estate Broker in Williamsburg, Virginia with Liz Moore and Associates. My specialty is Lifestyle and Luxury Properties. I was honored to recently receive the “30 Under 30” recognition by the National Association of Realtors as featured in “REALTOR Magazine”.
My husband, Colby, and I grew up in Williamsburg and felt that this was the ideal place to start our family. We welcomed our little girl, Reese, in March, at the start of quarantine. She has brought us so much Joy during uncertain times.
I love this town that we call home and my local ties to the Williamsburg community run deep. My father is the minister at Jamestown Presbyterian Church and my sister is the owner of Romeo and Ruby’s Salon. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit. I went to school for massage therapy at a young age before deciding I preferred to visit salons (as a customer) and not-so-much as a therapist. I’m loving every minute of this new mom life and excited to continue raising & growing our family here.
Colorful Classic Style
Which three words best describe your style? Colorful. Business Causal. Classic.
Where are your favorite places to shop? I love Stitch Fix boxes. When I have time to shop in-person: Nordstrom, Loft, TJ Maxx, and Target.
What’s your best style advice? Buy staple pieces that can be dressed up or down.
What should NEVER make a comeback? Shoulder pads!
What fashion/style did you love at the time, but now cringe when you see old photos? Belts with holes in them and bell-bottom jeans.
What’s your best style secret? Statement jewelry can make any basic outfit pop. I love Kendra Scott Jewelry.
Stilettos or flats? I’m a wedges, booties, & flats kind of girl
What’s your favorite show to binge-watch? The Home Edit and Selling Sunset are my recent favorites.
What’s your favorite way to unwind at the end of a long day? A glass of wine and a good book.
Colorful Classic Family
What’s your favorite way to spend time with your family? Trips to the Outer Banks, North Carolina! That’s definitely our “Happy Place” whether it’s for a quick weekend or a full week of relaxation.
Best parenting advice: There is no secret to motherhood, and only you know what works best for your baby. Trust your instincts and know that you are doing a great job.
Parenting true confession: I have accepted the fact that I might never totally catch up on our laundry.
What’s your favorite family restaurant? We love Oceans and Ale. The seafood is fresh and delicious. The owners are local and great people
Colorful Classic Work
Who has mentored or inspired you in your career path? My first Real Estate Broker, Charlotte Jones who mentored me as a new agent, and my current broker, Liz Moore, who coaches, uplifts, and supports me everyday. These women exude professionalism and are extremely inspirational and motivating to work with!
What challenges you about your work? Real estate is a 24/7 career that can make work/life balance challenging as a new mom.
What do you enjoy most about your work? The people. Meeting & helping clients (who become lifelong friends) during the huge decision to buy or sell their home is the BEST! Putting a smile on their face makes my day, every day!
What’s your favorite part of your work to DO? Visiting a client’s home, when they are considering to sell. I love hearing the story of their home. Unforgettable moments such as where their child took first steps in the hallway, where their precious pet is buried in the backyard, stories of celebrations they have hosted, etc. There is a story surrounding every home and hearing my client’s story is at the heart of what I do.
What does a good day at work look like? Starbucks, contract negotiations, positive home inspections/appraisals, home staging/minimizing, and new client consultations!
