Meet Jack

Dad on the Street Jack Stewart is a single parent dedicated to making sure his kids have a well-rounded education at home. He’s a self-proclaimed bookworm and fitness enthusiast, and always ready to take the family on a new and exciting adventure. Overall, the center of his world is raising strong, confident, and kind children who are deeply grounded in their faith.

Mustached Muscle-Fit Style

Which three words best describe your style? Barefoot, mustache, muscle-fit.

What are your favorite places to work out? A proper gym! But I haven’t had that luxury in years. I have a few Olympic style barbell weights in my tiny bedroom.

Who’s your favorite fitness icon? Jeff Nippard is a natural bodybuilder who has built a great reputation on YouTube for evidence-based advice for lean gains.

What’s your best fitness advice? Lift heavy, eat your groceries, don’t be afraid to bulk. Make your squat, deadlift, and press the hardest part of your day!

What trend did you love at the time, but now cringe when you see old photos? I used to use baked bean cans as a shake-weight. Now picture my teenage mohawk. #iamverybadass

What’s your dad superpower? Throwing my 2yr old up in the air with a 360° spin and catching him

Family Life

What’s your favorite way to spend time with your family? Nothing. Doing absolutely nothing together. Besides that, we have a weekly Shabbat celebration where we pray, sing, and eat junk food.

What’s been your best family vacation? I remember telling spooky stories while camping in a forest. Everyone slept but me…

What’s your favorite family activity? Sometimes we drive until my eldest tells me to stop. Then we get out, without a map, and walk randomly until we find adventure. Usually, the only argument is about the best place to stop for food and read-alouds.

Facial hair or clean-shaven? Facial foliage to make up for the scarcity on top.

Best parenting advice: You don’t own your children. You can’t control their hearts. What you can do is set a lot of good ideas before them, invite them into a meaningful life, and have the kettle on.

Parenting true confession: I quite often leave the house with all three kids, having remembered neither the nappy bag, snacks, money, or shoes. Spoiler: we survive.

What’s your go-to family dinner? We make this savoury pancake (like a chapati) with seeds and coconut and raisins. SO GOOD. What’s your favorite family restaurant? Pizza Hut. We never fail to leave with bellies hurting and faces glowing.

Mustached Muscle-Fit Life

What’s your favorite show to binge-watch? I’ve watched old seasons of Scrubs an unhealthy amount. But I’ve also run my sets on The Office.

If you could pick anyone to star as you in a movie based on your life, who would it be? Jake Gyllenhaal

What’s your favorite sport and why? Powerlifting. It’s about cutting BS and becoming powerful in yourself. It’s about facing hardship and conquering failure!

What’s your favorite workout song? Sumo – Denzel Curry

If you could hang out with anyone from history, living or deceased, who would it be? Jesus!!!! Unlimited wine. Also salvation.

What’s at the top of your travel bucket list? That new Indian restaurant in town.

What’s your favorite way to unwind at the end of a long day? Whiskey and a complicated, depressing Scandinavian film.
