Worship: Day One

“You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for you created all things, and by your will they exist and were created. ”

Revelation 4: 11

This passage from Revelation is included in Christian Communion celebration. Each time we participate in the Eucharist, we declare that God is holy, mighty and eternal.   These inspired words were written as an expression of worship for Jesus, who is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Our worship today prepares us for our worship in eternity.  Revelation 5: 11, the verse used in the classic worship song “Thou Art Worthy,” reveals the foundation for worship. He created all things and only because of Him do we exist. There is nothing we can do apart from Him and nothing will separate us from His love. Worshiping Christ is a
deep expression of gratitude for all that He has done for us.

Praying, singing, listening and praising are ways the worship experience begins. Almighty God, teach us how to express our Love for you. Help us to be free to experience worship. Amen.
