Visit One of the Country’s Best Music Venues

Formerly known as Farm Bureau Live, the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater has been one of the city’s best music venues since 1996. This amphitheater in Virginia Beach features a 7,500-seat pavilion plus 12,500 seats on the area’s sprawling lawn. Given the lush greenery and the amphitheater’s waterside location, it’s one of the best places to see a concert in the entire country! If you want to head for the front row for one of your favorite bands, the experience is unparalleled. However, if you’d rather stretch out on a blanket on a starry night, there are plenty of events to inspire excitement.

Given the status of the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater, it’s no surprise this unique venue has seen plenty of great concerts.
Popular artists like The Spice Girls, Jimmy Buffett, and Bruce Springsteen have all performed at the theater. You can still get the live album that The Dave Matthews Band recorded here on June 4, 1996. In addition to some of the world’s best artists, music festivals like Lilith Fair and Ozzfest have also made stops. Fortunately, there’s a lot of excitement for those who are planning an upcoming visit! In August and September, artists including Wiz Khalifa, Keith Urban, Deep Purple & Judas Priest are taking the stage.

For those who like a good burger, head to Legends Burger Shop for bites that are delectable and handcrafted. The aptly named Coop is also a popular spot with tasty items like chicken tenders and fries. Fortunately, there are also plenty of food trucks that will whet the appetite and offer up variety. Whatever type of food you’re searching for, Bro’s Fish Tacos, Malbon’s BBQ, and Ynot Pizza are sure to offer up the best. If beer and wine are your choice beverages, you’re also in luck at this famed amphitheater. You can choose from breweries like Coors, Budweiser, and Wasshurhund, or wines from Dark Horse and La Marca.

Getting There & What to Bring to the Virginia Beach Amphitheater

This popular music and art amphitheater is located at 3550 Cellar Door Way, just a stone’s throw from Virginia Beach’s famed coastline. You can get there by bus or car. Since the amphitheater has five parking lots and free parking, you’ll have no problems finding a place to park.

While you can rent lawn chairs, you may prefer to bring your own lawn chairs and blankets when you visit. Please be aware that bottles, coolers, pets, and weapons are not allowed on amphitheater grounds.
