Meet Brooke

Brooke Burns is a serial entrepreneur and an international traveling mom blogger of three children all under the age of five. In addition to the many hats she wears, she is an entrepreneur who has a passion for cosmetics and science. Brooke created BEE Cosmetics, a vegan and cruelty-free cosmetic line that does more than accentuate the beauty of women. For years, BEE provided STEM and mentoring programs to young women through the BEE a Mentor program. Each summer it hosted a STEM GLAMP in Houston, TX where Brooke taught the basics of entrepreneurship and STEM through the making of fun cosmetics products like nail polish, soaps, lipgloss, and more. Brooke often refers to her company as being a Causemetics Company.

Spontaneous Edgy Style

Which three words best describe your style? Spontaneous, Edgy, Diverse

What are your favorite places to shop? Pretty Little Things, Zara, Nordstroms

Who’s your favorite style icon? Kyrzada Rodriguez

What’s your best style advice? Plan your pieces the night before. The look will be a lot more polished and neat, than just something just thrown together.

What article of clothing/accessory would you not want to live without? Earrings. I feel so naked without them.

Which trend would you want to see make a comeback? I would love to see the gaucho pants come back. I loved them!

What should NEVER make a comeback? The butterfly hair clips. I am talking about the clips that actually move on a spring when you turn your head. Leave them in the past.

What fashion/style did you love at the time, but now cringe when you see old photos? I loved the donut bun styles but hated the fact I cut up old socks to create the base for the bun.

What’s your best style secret? Good Brows! IF you have a good brow day anything else can be off and you still look presentable.

Stilettos or flats? Stilettos

Spontaneous Edgy Family

What’s your favorite way to spend time with your family? I love going on bike rides with my family. Since we live in Japan throughout most of the year we get to ride often with our kids' seats attached to the bikes.

What’s been your best family vacation? Our best family vacation was our trip to the Dominican Republic we had so much fun within the all-inclusive resort we stayed in.

Best parenting advice: Get comfortable with repeating yourself.

Parenting true confession: As a mom, you will always be the go-to for something, even if your husband is right next to you.

What’s your go-to family dinner? Chicken Tacos- I can throw it in the crockpot and let it do the cooking, while I work, cleanup, or run errands.

What’s your favorite family restaurant? My favorite family restaurant is Benihanas

What’s your favorite show to binge watch? Game of Thrones, Baby!

If only we could all look so stylish and put-together while running our own businesses and raising three kids under the age of 5! We love Brooke's cool and natural style, which is fresh and edgy, but not overdone. She looks just as stunning with minimal makeup as she does wearing gorgeous her BEE Cosmetics red lipstick.
