Where Can I Find Healthy Restaurants?

Just because we’ve got to keep those Virginia Beach surfer beach bodies for the summer (I can dream, right?), it doesn’t mean we’re willing to compromise on quality and flavor. Here are some of the best healthy restaurants in the Virginia Beach area to keep your waistline in your comfort zone and keep you feeling great.

Azar’s

Whether you’re looking for delicious falafel, gyros, or herbal pizza, Azar’s should be your go-to Mediterranean restaurant in Virginia Beach. They’re family-owned and operated since 1988 and have two locations in Virginia Beach. Specializing in natural, Mediterranean foods, they also have an entire vegan-friendly menu and a small grocery with specialty products. We highly recommend the chicken tawook!

The Stock Pot

Located in the Vibe District, the Stock Pot was born out of a desire for healthy comfort food with an international flare. Specializing in homemade smoothies, broths, and soups, the Stock Pot is a healthy restaurant you won’t want to miss out on. The owners are highly passionate about the food they create, using high-quality ingredients from scratch that you can feel good about eating. Be sure to go check out the Stock Pot in The Vibe Creative District!

Leaping Lizard Cafe

A quaint little stop off Shore Dr, the Leaping Lizard’s reputation for quality and flavor is well-known in the community. All menu items are prepared daily using locally-grown produce and fresh seafood. The Leaping Lizard Cafe specialties include homemade sweet potato biscuits with local Edwards Surry ham & peach jam. Also, be sure to try out their famous Chicken Salad Sandwich with Peach Chutney and homemade soup. They were even featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives!

North End Juice Co.

This is one of the best local spots for fresh-pressed juice, smoothies, acai bowls, and food on the fly. Fortunately, it’s a bit more affordable than your average health-food cafe! We highly recommend their delicious gelato, a guilt-free treat made in-house from whole milk (or almond and coconut milk), sugar, and fresh, seasonal ingredients. The laid-back atmosphere is sure to make you want to come back time and time again to grab something fresh and delicious!
