Thoughtful Persistent Dad On The Street: Ralph Mazzuoccolo

Thoughtful Persistent Dad On The Street

Whether he’s enjoying a glass of smooth bourbon or powering through some high-intensity training routines at home, Thoughtful Persistent Dad On The Street Ralph Mazzuoccolo keeps his family healthy while setting a good example for his son.

Meet Ralph

My name is Ralph Mazzuoccolo and I’m 35 years old. I’ve been married to my wife Sara for 6 years, and we have an 11-month-old son named Nico. I worked in the financial industry for 10 years before becoming a full-time entrepreneur. I’ve always had a love for fitness and working with people so I found a way to build a business online using my passions. Currently, my wife and I enjoy a flexible schedule working from home helping people get healthy and fit while raising our son.

Thoughtful Persistent Style

Which three words best describe your style? Persistent, Sociable, & Thoughtful

What are your favorite places to work out? I stream my workouts so it really depends what day is on the calendar from my virtual trainer. If I am lifting weights I head to the gym. If I am doing HIITS then it’s my home gym in the garage. I prefer working out at home so my son can watch me work out.

Who’s your favorite fitness icon? Without a shadow of a doubt, it is Shaun T.  He’s been kicking my butt and getting me results for the last 10 years.

What’s your best fitness advice? Stay away from any diet or fad! I tell my clients that diets are short term satisfaction but long term disappointments.  As soon as you go back to your old ways all the results go away. Instead, focus on a lifestyle you can maintain and follow the 85/15 rule (85% of the time eat healthy and 15% of the time enjoy the treats)

What trend did you love at the time, but now cringe when you see old photos? Hands down has to be having frosted tips trying to be like the boy bands of the late 90s.

What’s your dad superpower? I can take on a lot of tasks and not get stressed.

Facial hair or clean-shaven? Right now I’m rocking the facial hair but I keep it short.

Thoughtful Persistent Family

What’s your favorite way to spend time with your family? We are self-employed so we like to take one day out of the week and create memories with our son who is 11 months old. We like to call these “joydays”. They range from having a picnic at the park to visiting the zoo, to taking a stroll at the beach.

What’s been your best family vacation? We haven’t been on one yet but looking forward to planning future ones!

What’s your favorite family activity? It has to be lunch or dinner time.  We like to blast music and just have fun while Nico dances in his high chair. We get to see him laugh, dance, and have a big smile on his face as he eats.

Best parenting advice: I always say when it comes to being healthy, you can either lead by example OR teach them excuses. Choose wisely.

Parenting true confession: I really haven’t had one yet but I am sure they will come.

What’s your go-to family dinner? For my wife and me, it would have to be a caesar salad made with a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store. For Nico its quinoa, peaches, and ground turkey.

What’s your favorite family restaurant? Ciccio’s Cali.

Thoughtful Persistent Life

What’s your favorite show to binge-watch? I love Blue Bloods.

If you could pick anyone to star as you in a movie based on your life, who would it be? Zac Efron.

What’s your favorite sport and why? It has to be college football as I am a huge Gator fan. I went to the University of Florida when they won the ’06 and ’08 National Championship.

What’s your favorite workout song? I don’t have a specific song but I love listening to BPM on Sirius XM Radio.

If you could hang out with anyone from history, living or deceased, who would it be? Ed Mylett.

What’s at the top of your travel bucket list? I want to go back to Santorini, Greece and stay for a full week.

What’s your favorite way to unwind at the end of a long day? A nice glass of bourbon and sports on TV.

Your Thoughtful Persistent Lifestyle

We love Ralph’s rock-solid style for grabbing life by the horns. It’s determined, organized and driven, and that says a lot about his character as a family man. Although he would want Zac Efron to play him in a movie, we think he’s way coolerthan Zac.
