Meet Allie
Allison Thibault is the Branch Operations Manager for Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation in South Burlington, VT. She has been working in the Mortgage Industry for the past 8 plus years. Allison is a graduate of the University of Vermont where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology. After college, she was a paralegal with a local law firm before moving into a career in the financial industry. She spent a few years helping people with their financial investments at the investment company, Edward Jones, before her move to the mortgage field.
Allison is the mom to 5-year-old daughter, Reese; 3-year-old son, Landon; and family pet, 9-year-old Yellow Lab, Bauer. They enjoy spending their time staying active together. Whether it’s taking hikes at the various hiking trails in the area, having an at home yoga session together or breaking out in a dance party.

Which three words best describe your style? Easy, classic and laid back.
What are your favorite places to shop? Banana Republic, Express and who doesn’t love a great deal found at TJ Maxx?
Who’s your favorite style icon? Current day I would go with Blake Lively. She has great chic, on-trend style, and her Red Carpet style is always glamorous.
What’s your best style advice? A nicely fitted blazer can complete most outfits.
What article of clothing/accessory would you not want to live without? A really great pair of jeans.
Which trend would you want to see make a comeback? Most anything from the '60s! This was a decade where we were introduced to the shift dress, shirt dress and the debut of the miniskirt.
What should NEVER make a comeback? The scrunchie. I know some people still rock them but I just don’t get the appeal.
What fashion/style did you love at the time, but now cringe when you see old photos? Velour tracksuits.. yikes!
What’s your best style secret? Bronzer.. living in an endless winter in the Northeast this is a must.
Stilettos or flats? Between the two, definitely stilettos but you are more likely to find me in a wedge.

What’s your favorite way to spend time with your family? Dance parties in the kitchen are the norm at our house. We love them.
What’s been your best family vacation? We had an extended family trip to Maine and stayed right on the ocean. My daughter went on her first roller coaster ride and still talks about it.
Best parenting advice: My number one parenting goal is to teach my kids to be kind, compassionate and grateful people. The best way to do this is to be an example of this yourself.
Parenting true confession: Many decisions are decided in our house by a fair game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.
What’s your go-to family dinner? Tacos- one of our faves
What’s your favorite family restaurant? With a three and five-year-old, anywhere that’s quick and has Mac and cheese on the menu.

What’s your favorite show to binge watch? Game of Thrones… if you don’t watch it, start!
What’s your favorite beach read? If I’m able to read on the beach this must mean it’s a solo trip without the kiddos. In that case, it depends on how many cocktails I’ve had while sunbathing. I’ll start off with a book, like someone’s memoir. I like to read about other people’s life stories. But then after my second cocktail, it’s gotta be something mindless. . . like People Magazine.
What’s the best song to dance to when nobody’s watching? One song?!! …There is a whole playlist! There is definitely some Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake and anything that Mark Ronson has to do with on there. But it would definitely start with some 2 Pac. "California Love."
If you could go shopping with anyone from history, living or deceased, who would it be? It would be a toss-up between Barbara Walters so I could ask about all the dirt on the thousands of people she’s interviewed or J-Lo so we can hang out and go dancing together.
What’s at the top of your travel bucket list? Amalfi Coast in Italy.
What’s your favorite way to unwind at the end of a long day? Snuggling into my super comfy bed with either a good book or a great show on Netflix.

Allie is a perfect example of how you still look stylish and put-together, even when you're playing with your kids. Whether she's on a family hike or she's meeting with clients, Allie's mastered the art of dressing up or down. Her style reflects her active lifestyle but is still sleek and stylish.
