FamilyApp Tips: Create a Family

It's simple and convenient to create a family on FamilyApp! Keep in touch with your loved ones by setting up a family profile.

Create a FamilyApp Family

As you're setting up FamilyApp on your mobile device, you'll notice two separate indicators towards the bottom of the screen: "Chat" and "Contact."

Under the "Contact" indicator, you can toggle between your Families and Groups in which you're included. Select the "Families" section. On this screen, select the plus sign icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. This will give you the option to create a new Family or Group. Select "New Family." The following screen will prompt you to give your new family a picture and title. Next, you'll be asked to enter a DISPLAY NAME. This will be your display name only in the new family you are creating, and any other existing display names will remain the same in other groups, families, and chats.

It's time to invite others to your family! This last screen will give you two options: "Invite members from contacts" and "Share invitation link". "Invite members from contacts" will bring you to your FamilyApp contact list. Here you can select other members and add them to your family (Learn how to sync your contacts to FamilyApp here). "Share invitation link" will give you the option of sending a custom text invitation outside of the app. Once your group is created, admins will have the option to add or remove family members at any time. Once you've created a family, you're all ready to start chatting and sharing content with the people you love most!
