Fall Target Home Decor

My kids always want me to decorate for Halloween. While ghosts and ghouls are not my style, seasonal decorating provides rhythm and grounding. In a year overcome by a pandemic, I’m longing to feel that the seasons are changing and to decorate with more than baskets of masks.

Target, our favorite spot for all the things, has fall decor ideas to pumpkin spice up your space (see what I did there.). A few fall pieces, in certain spots around the home,  at just the right price, can make even staying in a celebration of the season.

Fall Target Home Decor Signs

Choose some wall art to welcome Fall in your home. A hanging sign creates the illusion that you are homesteading on an Apple Farm. Unless you are homesteading on an Apple Farm, but then you can skip the sign.

I love a good letterboard and some are just corny enough. Dad Jokes and Fall Vibes? Done. If you prefer the use of the word Autumn, Target has you covered, or if you want to include your festive words on pillows, this one has your number.

Porch Decor in a Target-Style Fall Home Makeover

Showcase some fall essentials in how you welcome others. Whether visitors are trick or treating or asking for voter registration, your porch can be ready to make a statement. Target, always thinking of us, actually has two design collections for your porch needs.

If you are more of a Halloween Spooks Stylist, this collection is for you. (Black cat not included). All about some Harvest? The Fall Harvest Collection will hit the spot.

Each collection carries items such as lanterns, house numbers, and outdoor planters to fit your theme. What’s even better? The Target collection shows you a display, so you can break down what items you need and even hunt for them elsewhere (Goodwill!) if porch decor doesn’t fit your pandemic budget.

Front Door Style

Target has a variety of fall wreaths, as well as festive Halloween wreaths. If you lean towards creepy, more than festive, this wreath could be calling your name…or crawling on you. Likewise, a bold Keep Out sign could be all of your messaging for Halloween 2021. Take it to the next level of spooky with this Door Bell Skull Light-Up. Not exactly the tone  I want for my outdoor space, but you do you.

This doormat pictures my Fall must-haves: flowers, whimsy, and just enough leaves to be cute. And a Jack-o-Lantern doormat might have just the right balance of Fall and Halloween for your ghouls, while not terrifying the FedEx Driver.

All the Pumpkins!

What’s fall without pumpkins, lots of pumpkins? Target carries ceramic pumpkins for inside decorating. You can also choose from three colors of solid, painted pumpkins for your front porch. This pumpkin brings out the fancy. And they have plastic carvable pumpkins. What?  Yes, my friends. In a year of challenges, let’s celebrate the option of mess-free pumpkin carving. Still the sweat, tears, and need for the right knife. But no goop!

Out of stock at my local store, these tweed pumpkins are the rage this year. It’s like Magnolia Home meets your favorite college sweatshirt. For those who choose cozy over harvest or howling, this line is for you.

Also, don’t forget to pick up a pumpkin vase filler. Here’s an understated way to set apart any room for the season, and feel like Joanna Gaines.

Target-Style Fall Home Makeover

This year, more than usual, I’ve wanted to experience the seasons. Decor can feel overwhelming when we are just trying to keep everyone fed, clean, and virtual-schooled. But don’t underestimate how a few meaningful items can create a feeling for your family. Check daily Target offers, dig out that forgotten gift card, and celebrate this season at home.
